Transmission range of this walkie-talkie
In lowlands with no cover or in mountainous terrain from one peak to another, the maximum range is 10 km. In the countryside with mixed vegetation: 4 km. In hilly forests: 1.5 km.
To be noted: the range can be affected by many factors, such as the weather, humidity, the presence of metal or power lines, vegetation, etc.
Note also that it is not advisable to use your walkie-talkies between 2 moving vehicles.
Specific regulations
The Solognac walkie-talkie 500 is free to use in France, but there are different regulations for each country. Find out about the legality of use from the local authorities in other countries in the EU.
The device is compatible only with walkie-talkies of other brands transmitting to PMR 446 standard. It is not compatible with radios using another frequency, such as 157 MHz.

Batteries and battery life
The Solognac walkie-talkie comes with three rechargeable batteries. If these fail, you can replace them with standard LR3 non-rechargeable batteries.
14 h battery life with the AAA NiMH 800 mAh batteries provided. This battery life was calculated according to the following usage standard:
90% on standby, 5% emitting, 5% receiving.

Tips on properly charging your walkie-talkie:
We recommend that the batteries be initially charged for 12 to 14 hours, then for 6 hours in regular use.
As soon as the indicator shows 1 or 2 bars, charge until 3 bars appear.
To be noted: you can use the USB-C port to charge the device in your vehicle.
