Additional Product informations
When should i consume the breakfast bar?
The energy bar replaces breakfast and should be consumed 1 hour and 30 minutes before an endurance effort, whether that's a race, a trail run, a bike ride, etc.If your training or competition is happening mid-afternoon, you can equally well eat it as a snack.
A recipe created by a nutritionist
Developed in collaboration with a sports nutritionist, the recipe is designed to meet the needs of sportsmen and women. The result? 2 bars packed with everything your body needs to prevent fatigue during an endurance effort.Bonus: our aim was to blend efficiency with naturality.Using just a few ingredients, our bar yields maximum performance.
A breakfast bar that's easier to digest
During an endurance effort, digestion matters, especially when it comes to comfort. Our bar has a dense texture, which makes it easy on the stomach for optimal digestion.Allow us to explain:When you chew, you secrete saliva.Saliva not only helps to compact the food, it also contains enzymes that aid digestion. And we've added freeze-dried pineapple, which also contains enzymes, into the recipe.
Little tour of the supply side
Our breakfast bar is made in Spain. In terms of raw materials, we've selected the supplies that seemed to make the most sense, based on the production locations.
What are all these ingredients for?
- Honey, gluten-free oat flakes, and rice syrup for that extra energy boost.- Pea proteins for protein intake- Cocoa and chocolate chips for flavour.(chocolate version)- Almonds for their taste and their supply of proteins and good fats- Freeze-dried pineapple to aid digestion- Magnesium and vitamins B6 and B12 to reduce fatigue.- Vitamin C is an antioxidant, and vitamin B1 is essential for maintaining a normal energy metabolism
When the act of chewing matters
Let's confess:On the morning of a race, eating can feel more like a necessity than a real pleasure (oh, the stress!).Well, the good news is that this breakfast bar, while not as flexible as a fruit paste, is still easy to chew. The pea proteins (which lightly crunch under your teeth) not only whet your appetite, they also trigger the chewing action that activates your digestive enzymes and the digestion process that comes with it.
The challenge bar:laying down a design challenge
We've got to admit:we took a lot of shots at this recipe before getting it right... But that's what it takes to achieve perfection, right?;)There were many technical constraints behind the breakfast bar format:40g instead of 80g, so 2 bars for a complete breakfast. You get the general idea... As product engineer Juliette puts it, this is "the challenge bar." Hands up if you've ever taken up a challenge...You tell us!
