Unisex frame
The ST 530 S MTB has a UNISEX frame. The ST 530's frame has been carefully designed down to the smallest detail, from the top tube's relatively pronounced slope, to the wide range of sizes (M: 1.65m to XL: 2m). The ST 530 S is not only lightweight and comfortable, but UNISEX as well.To make the most of the improved comfort, the women of the Rockrider team recommend the 500 Women's Sport saddle that is adapted to women's morphology.
A word from the team
The ST 530 S mountain bike was fully designed and developed by our passionate MTB team at the B'Twin Village in France (Lille).A mountain bike that makes steering easier: more powerful and progressive hydraulic disc brakes, shocks and a fork with 120 mm travel for riding over obstacles, a single chainring so you can very quickly adapt to changes in terrain, etc. MTB riders were involved at every stage of this bike's creation to make sure it works just right.
A light, comfortable frame
For less weight and more efficient pedalling, the Rockrider ST 530 S frame is made from 6061 aluminium (only 2.7 kg in size M without suspension). Its 120mm rear shock uses a single-pivot system (more sensitive to small impacts, while remaining firm when encountering large impacts) and sealed bearings for a great lifespan.
120 mm front suspension
The hydraulic fork, with 120 mm travel, allows you to easily ride over more obstacles (roots, pebbles, stones, mud). The fork's built-in lockout system helps to prevent bobbing and loss of speed on faster terrain.
Rear suspension
This mountain bike has a Rockrider U-Fit 120 mm spring shock absorber, specially adjusted for this frame. You can easily adjust it based on your weight, which provides you with a very good balance between sensitivity and performance.
Derailleur & drive train: a single chainring like the pros!
The single chainring is easy and efficient to use:1 chainring and 9 speeds.Accelerate on the flat and take on climbs with no compromise. With a single lever on the handlebar, there's no need to even think!-ROCKRIDER FC ATB 500 single chainring (32T)-MICROSHIFT ADVENT rear derailleur with medium cage-MICROSHIFT ADVENT right shifter-MICROSHIFT H092 9-cog cassette (11-42 T)-KMC Z9 wide, sturdy chain
Handlebars, stem, grips
The adjustable stem brings the ST 530 S controls to your hands. The all-aluminium Rockrider stem is 70 mm (size S), 80 mm (size M/L), or 90 mm (size XL) and can be raised to 5 adjustment intervals: + 0mm, + 7.5mm, + 15mm, + 22.5mm, + 30mm.In detail:- 720mm oversize Rockrider Sport aluminium handlebar- Rockrider Sport "soft touch" ergonomic grips for good grip and a comfortable feel.
Saddle
The ST 530 S saddle is welded to prevent any saddle movement as you cycle.Because your comfort is our next priority after safety, we've added an exclusive Rockrider Ergofit Evo saddle that is wider and hammock shaped.Easily adjust the height of your saddle with the 400 mm long, 31.4 mm diameter seat post.
Hydraulic disc brakes
No matter what conditions you ride in (dry/wet), the dual hydraulic disc brakes at the front and back will come through for you, even in the mud.Hydraulic brakes deliver more powerful and progressive braking and require less effort applied to the brake levers. The aluminium brake levers are easy to grip and precise.
27.5" wheels with double-walled rims and all-condition tyres
The aluminium wheels are effective and sturdy: 27.5" diameter and double-walled rims. Their diameter is the perfect balance between comfort and performance. With their 28 spokes, they are lightweight, stiff, and durable. The wide, ROCKRIDER ALL CONDITIONS (30 TPI) 27.5" x 2.0 tyres have side knobs designed for riding on all types of terrain (dry, wet, etc.).Tubeless Ready 23 mm rims: SCHRADER valves, TUBELESS rim tape, TUBELESS tyres, and puncture-proof liquid to be added.
Platform pedals
The ST 530 S comes with Rockrider Flat platform pedals with a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedals.

Product Reviews
So after only having this bike for a matter of weeks, and ridden it in anger only three times, I feel I’ve given it a fair chance to bed in and prove itself. Sadly it has failed to do so. I noticed a few cracks and knocks straight away, and that was just test riding on the street. Took it back to store, and the technician failed to identify the noise. Told to take it back if it got worse. Well, three rides in, and those cracks and knocks are very noticeable on almost every rev, and worryingly loud. The bike is going back to store this weekend, and will be left with them to remedy. All in all, I’m disappointed with the ride. For the money I expected better, and in all honesty I have an 8 year old bike that I paid £100 less for that is a smoother and quieter ride than this one. Nope, not impressed at all I’m afraid.
This is probably true of many mountain bikes, but to claim that this bike fits people who vary 150mm in height is just not the case without adapting the bike. The seat stem can vary in height by 150mm without a problem, but the handlebar stem is designed to adjust a mere 10mm or even less. The consequence is that the height of the rider dramatically alters the riding position. To claim to be able to fit men between 185 and 200cm, the handlebar stem would also need to adjust by at least 100mm, if not 150mm. In this way the riding position for men of all the sizes in the XL range could be accommodated. I'm 195cm tall and will have to add to the handlebar stem and lengthen the brake tubes and gear cable, just to get the handlebars to the same height as the saddle. I'm sorry to criticize what is otherwise an excellent design, but this really needs to be thought through by the designers. How can you allow 150mm of play in the saddle and only 10mm with the handlebars?
I bought this bike as a good starting point. I always intended to upgrade certain parts, I just didn’t know I’d be doing it this quickly. The good points - it has a good frame (looks like pretty much the same frame used on higher range models, with the exception of the head tube, which I’ll talk about later), it has a good group set (the micro shift system has some good reviews - and it has a clutch), and the brakes are good. It rides well in terms of positioning and the wide bars give it a good feel. However, the rear shock is TERRIBLE! You get a loud knocking every time it compresses. Every bump you go over results in a clunking sound. Ride on gravel or a rocky path and it sounds (and feels) like the bike is shaking itself apart. The forks aren’t much better - they compress far too much under my body weight, no matter how much pre-load I put in them. I went to my local store and tried the same bike and the shock in the store made the same noise. I’ve since replaced the rear shock with a Rock Shox air shock and I’ve got a Suntour air fork on order. Your limited as to what forks you can upgrade to because the bike comes with a 1 1/8” straight head tube - most modern forks now have a tapered steer tube, which won’t fit without modifying the headset. So, a good bike when you look at what your getting interns of most of the components, it’s just let down by poor suspension. If your buying this for a few occasional rides you may like the suspension and you may not have a problem with it. But, if you want to do any sort of regular trail riding, either look at spending more or buy this as a starting point and upgrade the suspension.
