Why choose a tennis-specific shoe?
There are lots of reasons! The way you move around the court is different to how you move when doing other sports such as running and fitness training. You quickly move forward and back as well as side to side. Tennis shoes offer the support you need to play safely, thereby reducing the risk of injury.Your cushioning needs are also specific as your feet require complete protection from impacts.
Forefoot support system
As you move sideways, your foot is one with your shoe thanks to the exclusive insert on the outside of the front of the shoe.Exclusive support system developed by our tennis design team.
Internal fit
This shoe is designed to have a tennis-specific fit that makes you more comfortable. The shape has been approved for playing tennis by our R&D teams using scans of thousands of users' feet and analysing foot movements during play.
Resistance to wear
When you move around the court you sometimes drag your shoes along the ground, which makes the sole wear out faster. The surfaces you play on are also abrasive. Our shoes are tested in the lab on a machine that has been specially developed to reproduce the type of heel, forefoot, toe and instep wear seen during regular play
Cushioning test
The shoes are tested in a lab on a machine that reproduces the impact of the heel when playing tennis using an 8 kg impactor. The greater the acceleration, the greater the impact suffered by the body.
User comfort test
These shoes are tested blind by a representative panel of female tennis players. They evaluate the level of comfort, that is, how the shoe fits and how soft it is (from the very first time worn), on a scale of 0 to 20.
