Product Reviews

Great filter. Small and light and easily stored in my bag. No setting up. Just pop the pipe in the water source and squeeze. Maybe better to top up water on a walk rather than fill up at a campsite though.
i had this filter and it worked great for a month. i managed to filter 30 litres or so. then the rubber that holds the plastic red filter in place started to stretch(under the black screw cap) with water being inside it and it was no longer an airtight seal when pumping water. so air and water was escaping and pressure would not build up. i can only speak on my behalf and i do not believe this is a one off. i have had bad luck with msr products whereas some people have been amazed by their products for life. again i can only comment on my experience and i have found that all msr products are hit and miss. i would recommend a sawyer micro squeeze (around £30)or the katadyn hiker pro (around £80 but it filters out chemicals, bacteria and taste. the amount of water the filters will filter depend on the filter and the quality of the water. i would see the official websites and reviews online about products before you buy as people have bought it with their money and they expect it to do as it says).
