Lighting modes
The FORCLAZ HL900 V3 headlamp offers 6 modes:
- Static red to remain hidden in camp and maintain your night vision
- Economy mode (30 lm) for map reading or use in the tent
- Medium mode (80 lm) for working on tracks or forest trails
- Full power mode (350 lm) for hiking on rugged trails
- Boost (600 lm, 60 secs) for finding your way off track lasts 10 seconds before going back to 350 lm
- Flash (Blinking) to signal your location
and a 1 hour reserve at 25 lm
BATTERY TYPE
Removable 1800 mAh lithium-ion battery, rechargeable with a USB-C cable
Compatible with external chargers and solar panels.
The HL900 USB headlamp comes with an adapter for 3 AAA batteries (not included). It enables you to use disposable batteries if you do not have a USB charger to hand or if you prefer disposable batteries to a rechargeable battery.
Caution: the battery adapter is IPX4 rated, not IPX7
OPTICAL BEAM
The FORCLAZ HL900 USB head torch has 3 beams.
A very wide red beam to remain discreet and see at very short distance (hut).
A wide beam, with warm light, so you can see in front of you and to the sides, close up and in the middle distance.
A narrow beam with a cool light to see in the distance.
Lighting technology
Constant LED lighting: lighting performance does not decrease as batteries lose charge.

Monobloc design for optimal compactness. ABS casing with adjustable angle and rubber shock protection
HEADBAND
Removable, washable headband. Composition: 70% polyester and 30% natural rubber for maximum comfort. The two symmetrical buckles facilitate tightening. The FORCLAZ HL900 USB head torch adapts to fit all head sizes, including both adults and kids, as well as mountain helmets.
Storage
The FORCLAZ HL900 USB head torch comes with a fabric bag to store your accessories. The pouch also acts as a light diffuser to light up a greater area around you.
Shock resistance
This light passed the test of the IK7. impact resistance
IK means "Impact Protection" and the K from "Kinetic" to stand out from the IP index (resistance to water). The IK index indicates the impact protection against harmful mechanical impacts on a product.
IK07 means the device is protected against mechanical impacts equivalent to 2 joules of energy
Does your light heat up while in use?
This light is very powerful, despite its compact size. So, by using your powerful light, the lighting unit (the front side) will heat up, which is completely normal. It is, however, important to understand that our lights need to be moved around in order to cool down, aided by heat dissipation. So a light used in a stationary position and/or in a confined space will heat up to an abnormally high temperature and you therefore need to ensure that you don’t use it at a high power level.
