What if your days out in the snow were all about warmth and comfort? Our engineers have designed this waterproof and comfortable pair of hiking boots.
Can you be sure that your boots are warm enough for your winter hikes?
Our boots have passed through the hands (and feet!) of our testers, in laboratories and out in the field, to offer you real quality! They keep your feet warm at -6°C in chill mode and -15°C in action mode. And that involves taking into account variations in how girls and boys feel the cold differently!
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your boots keeps your feet warm. Designed for occasional use, its waterproof membrane keeps water out. Inside, the air around the foot provides better ventilation to reduce moisture build-up
How can I be sure that my boots are 100% waterproof?
We make sure your boots are waterproof using tests carried out in the lab: simulating the feet half-immersed in water, use and ageing tests on the ground
What is the difference between traction and grip?
For grip, think of the crampons on the boots as claws that grip the ground when climbing.
For traction, the grooves under the soles act like car tyres, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With these boots, you can tackle winter terrain like a pro!
SNOWCONTACT technology
SNOWCONTACT soles are made with a specific component and stud pattern that is designed to ensure the best possible grip and traction. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. When walking on ice, the only way to ensure optimum safety is to add anti-slip grips to your boots.
What does SnowContact technology offer?
SnowContact soles are made from specific materials and feature a specially designed crampon pattern for excellent grip and traction. They are more effective on snow than traditional soles, but remember to add anti-slip grips if you are using on ice only.
How durable are they?
Our engineers carry out analysis to check that our products hold the road! They test all the following: resistance of the straps with checks of the gluing, UV resistance, abrasion and ageing. Nothing escapes their attention to ensure your complete satisfaction
What to wear for a hike in the snow
Here are our tips for braving the winter:
- Wool socks for maximum warmth,
-Breathable socks adapted to every adventure to keep your feet dry,
-Choose a pair suited to the height of the upper (mid-height or high)
How to preserve the waterproofing
Imagine your boot like a shield against water! Its water-repellent properties make it waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this power needs to be refreshed to remain effective. Simply spray to refresh the material and keep it ready for bad weather
How do I dry the inside of my boots?
To effectively dry the inside of your damp boots, remove the insole first. Then use newspaper to absorb moisture and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources which might damage the material and choose a dry, warm, well-ventilated place to dry them out
Whether you’re venturing out on trails or in the forest, these boots are your ally to improve your level of comfort during occasional excursions in the snow.
