Innovative, patented mount locking system!
We invented a system that locks the quarter-turn mount. To unlock it, just use the latch found on the "male" part.With this invention, the part that holds your smartphone will not disengage from the mount.All "female" Garmin® quarter-turn mounts are compatible with this system.You can therefore use the mount that comes with this product or another similar mount, like an offset mount for example.
Installation on the stem is recommended.
For maximum stability, we recommend installing it on the stem.Below the mount, attach the rubber band that comes with this product. The rubber will prevent the mount from moving.When installing the mount, you have the option between elastic straps, for easy, quick installation, or zip-ties for better durability.

[UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS REVIEW] After using it for close to 6 months now, I must say that this is a really convenient product. Easy to setup, and holds the phone securely when using the rubber bands. Phone has always stayed secure on it, even when going on bumpier terrain. Apologize for my previous rating on it, as i didnt understand how to use it well.
Had a different model phone mount also from Decathlon which had the annoying problem of dropping my phone when going over bumpy roads. Returned this to Decathlon with no problems . Have thoroughly tested this one over a bumpy track and can report no problems. Fitting the mount is reasonably easy although instructions are a bit vague. The mount is held on by 2 strong rubber rings and 2 cable ties. It should fit on virtually any size of handlebar. I have one on a road bike and a mountain bike. When using the mount it is also a simple matter to remove phone without unscrewing it from the mount. Just a case of twisting it from mount. Thanks to Decathlon Cambridge for helping with my return and finding this better mount.
The product description says portrait or landscape orientation, but it only "clicks" inot place at 90 degrees meaning it does not sit flush on the bike if you want to have your phone mounted on the verticle bar as per the pics - why can it not be easily adjusted?
